He started dotting the Appalachian landscape with handmade concrete crosses and signs in 1918 at the age of 20 until his death in 1986. As you can see by the photos, on one side the sign reads &#8220;PREPARE TO MEET GOD.&#8221; On the other, it reads, &#8220;JESUS IS COMING SOON.&#8221; Since I model part of that area in 1947 I thought this would be something unique and a bit of real history.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt;\">You get <strong>one<\/strong> double sided sign with all sprue removed. Very minor sanding may be required. In the example shown I sprayed with grey primer and when dried used an Alcohol Wash w\/India Ink. To get a slight cracking on the <span class=\"x193iq5w xeuugli x13faqbe x1vvkbs x1xmvt09 x1lliihq x1s928wv xhkezso x1gmr53x x1cpjm7i x1fgarty x1943h6x xudqn12 x3x7a5m x6prxxf xvq8zen xo1l8bm xzsf02u\" dir=\"auto\"><span class=\"x193iq5w xeuugli x13faqbe x1vvkbs x1xmvt09 x6prxxf xvq8zen xo1l8bm xzsf02u\">concrete<\/span><\/span> you can use a hobby knife to score the part before painting.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 8pt; color: #993300;\"><strong><em>Many of our parts come with supports still attached, and will need to be carefully cut. We always recommend a good sprue cutter for this. We suggest wearing eye protection.<br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 8pt; color: #993300;\"><strong><em>Parts that have had their supports removed may have some small bumps where the supports were removed that will need to be sanded\/filed off for a better fit.\u00a0\u00a0When sanding we suggest using dust mask and wipe with a moist paper towel so particles don\u2019t become airborne.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 8pt; color: #993300;\"><strong><em>ACC glue works well for all our resin parts.\u00a0Parts take paint well after priming. We recommend Mr. Primer Surfacer 1000 or\u00a0Tamiya Surface Primer, but any good thin primer will work.\u00a0All parts come unpainted.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 8pt; color: #993300;\"><strong><em>Parts must be primed\/painted if exposed to sunlight as the resins will continue to cure and may become brittle.
